Verliehen werden die Preise für eine herausragende Arbeit in zwei Kategorien: Geistes- oder Sozialwissenschaften und Natur- oder Ingenieurwissenschaften.
Jeder Preis ist mit 20.000 Euro dotiert.
Die Arbeit muss nach dem 01.06.2016 fertiggestellt worden sein, Dissertationen sind nicht zugelassen.

The Brandenburg Ministry of Sciences, Research and Cultural Affairs assigns the Brandenburg Postdoc Award.
The Award is assigned to outstanding scientific work in two categories: „Natural and Engineering Sciences“ and „Humani-ties and Social Sciences“.
The Award is endowed with a prize sum of 20,000 € in each of the two categories.
The scientific work has to be finished after June 1st 2016. Dissertations are not eligible for application.
