Application details & requisities
Target group
The target group of the program includes:
- leading personnel of university offices/academic units in charge of carrying out research management and postgraduate studies,
- assistance personnel of university offices/academic units in charge of carrying out research management and postgraduate studies,
- directors of research centres, institutes, and programs,
- directors of postgraduate programs
of public and private universities of Central America and other Latin American countries.
Requisites for participation
The basic requisites for participation are:
- participation in the three modules,
- experience in university management / research management,
- regular appointment at the university and permanent commitment to the project,
- readiness to work on the elaboration of individual projects for the development of university research management in accordance with the research authorities of the participating universities,
- knowledge of English (the working language of the three modules will be English).
Application deadline:
June 30th, 2011
Application documents (online application) should include:
- A completed application form
- A letter of recommendation of your institution's top authorities which confirms the institution's commitment to support your research management activities for and within DIES-UNIREM and to timely provide necessary resources.
- A letter of motivation (max. 1 page) in which the need for the training is explained and the following questions are answered:
- What is the reason for you applying for the UNIREM program and which role do you think the UNIREM program will play for your professional career?
- Please outline a concrete project proposal with relation to the topics of the course which you are currently implementing or planning to implement at your university (this project will be further developed throughout the course).
- In which way do you think that your participation in the UNIREM course could help you to implement this project and to overcome existing or foreseen challenges, obstacles and problems?
- A letter of recommendation by a DAAD-alumna or alumnus will be considered an asset
