Interdisciplinary PhD Symposium 2011 - Attendance and Deadlines

PRESENTATION - 10.10.2011
The application for a presentation (lecture, poster, science slam – please select on the application form) have to be submitted by October 10, 2011. If you choose lecture or poster, the Potsdam Graduate School will also need your abstract at latest October 10, 2011. If you would like to take part at the science slam please send only the title of your presentation and your personal details (name, institute, e-mail address) until October 10, 2011. The abstracts and the personal details will be published in the conference booklet. Your presentations could be written in German or English.
Please use the online form on our homepage for your application. Please send the abstracts as a MS Word document (please note that the style sheet is essential – this is a selection criterion!) via e-mail to pogs@uni-potsdam.de. A group of experts, consisting of PhD candidates from different specialist fields, will decide about the presentations. The selection for the science slam presentations will be decided by drawing lots. The Potsdam Graduate School will inform you until October 17, 2011 if your presentation is guaranteed.

Expert service: If you would like to apply for expert service please send your application until September 28, 2011. The expert group composed of PhD candidates from different faculties will select the presentations that will be presented at the PhD symposium. Please note that you only could apply for expert service if you don’t want to submit a presentation or poster yourself. You will be notified on September 30, 2011 whether you have been selected.
Jury member: The best presentations and posters will be awarded from a jury composed of PhD candidates from different faculties. There will be a “presentation jury” and a “poster jury”. Application for jury membership ends October 12, 2011. You will be notified on October 13, 2011 whether you have been selected. Please note that you may only be a member of the jury if you don’t want to submit a presentation or poster yourself.
Presenter: If you are interested in presenting a talk session then send your application until October 12, 2011. You will be notified on October 13, 2011 whether you have been selected.
PARTICIPATION WITHOUT AN OWN CONTRIBUTION
You are very welcome without an own contribution. Application for a participation without an own article are possible until October 23, 2011.
CHILD CARE
During the PhD symposium the Potsdam Graduate School offers an on-location child care free of charge (9.30 a.m. until 8.00 p.m.). Please enter your child care request in the application form.
